EJA reorganises under Rockwell`s ownership

EJA Engineering, the machine safety specialist bought by Rockwell Automation earlier this year, is reorganising its businesses. From 1 October, the Wigan-based company will become EJA Ltd, and the three product brands - Guardmaster, Sigma/Prosafe and Nelsa - will share support and sales staff.

Until now, each EJA brand was a separate company with its own sales force, support staff and operations departments. Under the new structure, the brand names will be kept but the sales and support teams will be merged. Distribution arrangements are not affected.

EJA chief executive John Oliver explains that "by streamlining our internal functions, we are making it much easier for our customers to do business with us". He adds that the changes will help the company to grow: "Our goal is to be the world leader in machine safety products."

EJA operates independently in Rockwell`s industrial control group as an extension of its presence sensing business.
