Everyone`s a winner in new drives awards

The market analyst Frost & Sullivan has announced a series of awards to European drives manufacturers. The awards, which "recognise outstanding industry achievements", are "based on unambiguous and objective observation and analysis of key competitor strategies and trends".

The eight winners of the 2001 awards are:

• Market engineering leadership: Siemens

• Internet e-commerce innovation: ABB

• Product line strategy: Control Techniques

• Growth strategy (market engineering): Vacon

• Merger & acquisition strategy: Lenze

• Strategic alliance leadership: Schneider

• Manufacturing strategy: SEW Eurodrive

• Product recognition: Invertek

The awards also give Frost & Sullivan an opportunity to promote its Electric Drives Market Service that it launched last year.
