Maier to lead Siemens Industry sector in UK
Juergen Maier, managing director of Siemens Automation and Drives in the UK, has been appointed head of the company’s newly created Industry sector which employs 5,000 people in the UK. The new role is part of Siemens’ global restructuring into three sectors – Industry, Healthcare and Energy.
Maier (above) will retain his responsibilities for A&D and will stay in Manchester. Robin Phillips, currently A&D finance director, will take on the role of finance director for Industry in the UK. "Our aim with this re-organisation," says Maier, "is to develop a more strategic approach to customers based upon in-depth knowledge of sector issues and delivering combined Siemens solution."
