Barcelona-based Oylo, founded in 2017, provides a wide range of OT (operational technology) cybersecurity services for industrial control systems, including assessments, turnkey implementations, managed services and incident response.
It will report as part of Rockwell’s Lifecycle Services business.
“As connected smart devices are introduced into the plant floor, having a comprehensive cybersecurity strategy that spans across industrial OT and IT (information technology) is more critical now than ever before,” says Rockwell senior vice-president for Lifecycle Services, Frank Kulaszewicz. “The deep domain expertise that Oylo brings to Rockwell Automation will further accelerate our ability to provide this expertise globally.”
Rockwell adds that the acquisition demonstrates its commitment to providing best-in-class cybersecurity services and solutions. Oylo’s OT cybersecurity expertise will complement the IT cybersecurity expertise that Rockwell gained when it acquired Israel-based Avnet Data Security earlier this year.
“We look forward to continuing to serve our loyal customers and partners while expanding our services to organisations around the globe,” says Oylo’s founder and CEO, Eduardo Di Monte.
