Low-cost condition monitor is ‘a game-changer’
Published:  19 October, 2018

The UK condition monitoring specialist AVT Reliability has launched a “game-changing” low-cost, high-speed online condition-based monitoring (CBM) system that provides real-time management of rotating equipment.

AVT's Machine Sentry MSO-1 captures and stores critical vibration data in a database where it is integrated with data from other CM techniques. The data can be accessed securely from anywhere in the world via a Web browser, allowing continuous monitoring, failure detection, troubleshooting and critical asset management.

“Machine Sentry MSO-1 is a genuine game-changer,” declares AVT’s managing director, Frederic Thomas. “It can be installed and operated by experts and novices alike and offers ready access to detailed diagnosis and advice from AVT’s world-leading condition monitoring engineers – crucial features at a time of acute skill shortages in the manufacturing industry whilst driving for high availability of assets.”

This new system integrates with, and extends the capacity of, AVT’s existing Machine Sentry Web platform and MSM-1 mobile sensor. It can be used by itself or integrated with other digital control systems.

Warrington-based AVT says that the system’s small size, low power consumption, Ethernet/Wifi/4G connections, email alarm notification and large storage capacity make it easy to install, operate and maintain.
