One of this year’s 102 Queen’s Awards in the enterprise category has gone to Mark Roberts Motion Control, based in Blindley Heath, which designs and manufactures robotic motion controls, specialising in control systems for photography and filming.
Zettlex’s award comes as the company moves to a new technology centre in Foxton, Cambridge, which will allow it to double its production and create jobs. Nearly 90% of the company’s sales come from exports and managing director Mark Howard reports that sales in the first quarter of 2017 were its highest ever. “We expect to grow at more than 30% this year, for the fifth year in a row,” he says.
