Emerson appoints manager for UK drives and motors
Published:  20 April, 2015

Emerson Industrial Automation has appointed Gloria Stucchi to be general manager of its UK and Ireland drives and motors operation, which includes the Control Techniques and Leroy-Somer brands.

Stucchi joins following a period of study at London Business School, where she completed a Sloan MSc in Leadership and Strategy. Before that, she worked for Dow Chemical Company in marketing and business development positions, and Pirelli as a senior project manager. She holds a Masters in industrial chemistry from the Polytechnic University of Milan.

Stucchi will lead the UK and Ireland sales team as it seeks to expand its share of the drives and motors market, while also overseeing a strategy to communicate the benefits to end-users of buying combined systems from a single supplier.

“I’m pleased to be joining a globally-recognised, established organisation like Emerson and I’m excited by the opportunities we’ve identified for growth in the UK and Ireland,” she says. “We have a strong core product range with which we can meet the challenges faced by industry – namely increasing productivity and efficiency, and lowering total energy costs.

“I am looking forward to an exciting period in Emerson’s history as we celebrate our 125-year anniversary, and am eager to start contributing to a positive future for the organisation,” she adds.
