Anglo-German merger `creates tachometry leader`

The Leeds-based instrumentation specialist Foundrometers Instrumentation has merged with a German manufacturer of speed-sensing equipment, Rheintacho Messetechnik. Foudrometers MD Peter Morley says the partnership will create "Europe`s leading applications solution base for tachometry".

Under the restructuring, the Leeds site will produce mechanical tachometers, analogue and digital tachogenerators, and analogue speed indicators. Other items, including handheld tachometers, non-contact speed sensors, and control and monitoring equipment, will be made in Freiburg, Germany.
