Guides offer help on PWM and CCL

Gambica has produced a pair of guides covering PWM inverter operation and the Climate Change Levy (CCL).

The first, Motor shaft voltages and bearing currents under PWM inverter operation, describes good practice when using pulse width modulation inverters to drive motors. It follows studies by Gambica and Rema (the Rotating Electrical Machines Association) and draws on other sources of information and advice. It provides information on aspects such as voltage rating, torque de-rating, noise, and safe operating speeds.

The second guide, Making the most of the climate change levy package, helps businesses to understand the CCL scheme and suggests ways to seek relief from the levy. It also explains the Enhanced Capital Allowances (ECA) scheme that offers tax relief for energy-saving investments.

Both guides can be downloaded from Gambica`s Web site.
