BGA quizzes members over future

Members of the British Gear Association`s executive council are contacting every BGA member personally to find out what they want from the organisation. The results will be analysed and used to draw up a new marketing plan for the BGA.

"What is key to the future of the association is that it changes, just as its membership is having to change due to market forces," explains Mike McCann, joint vice-chairman of the BGA`s executive council. "Members themselves have a key role to play - you can only get something out if you put something in."

As the BGA`s membership profile changes, McCann adds, it will have to look at its high level of research and technical activities.
