♦  Iconics UK, the supplier of OPC-based HMI/SCADA visualisation and manufacturing intelligence software, has moved from its former office in Kingswinford, to larger premises in Dudley, which has extended meeting and training facilities.

♦  Reliance Precision Mechatronics has been appointed exclusive UK distributor for Haydon Kerk’s motion products including motors, slides, and hybrid linear actuators, in addition to the Kerk leadscrews that Reliance has been supplying for many years. Reliance has also expanded its couplings portfolio to include spiral beam, flexible disc, bellows and curved jaw types.

♦  Chelmsford-based Micro Drives has been appointed UK distributor for the Fiber range of AC synchronous, DC and stepper motors and gearboxes.

♦  Softstart UK, based in Great Yarmouth, has won is largest single order, to supply six 11kV, 2.1MW softstarts which will be used to run up 18-pole motors driving waste treatment booster pumps at the El Amiriiah pumping station in Egypt. Softstart will also supply power factor correction equipment and commission the installation.
