Bulanda appointed president of Control Techniques

02 November, 2009

Mark Bulanda has succeeded Pierre Sarre as president of the drives-maker, Control Techniques. Sarre, who had been CT president since 1997, has taken on greater responsibilities within Emerson Industrial Automation as group vice-president with responsibility for Leroy Somer motors and drives and Control Techniques.

Bulanda (above) has been with Emerson for 25 years, working in various roles including president of its ventilation products division, vice-president and general manager of its air-moving motors division, and corporate vice-president of planning. Most recently, he was president of Emerson’s White Rodgers division, which produces temperature controls for the HVAC industry.

Bulanda, who is a mechanical engineering graduate and holds a degree in management, has relocated his family from the US to Mid-Wales, where Control Techniques’ main plant is located.
