Assembly plant gets into gear

Leroy Somer has set up a geared motor assembly centre in Skelmersdale, Lancashire. It says that motors with modifications involving flanges, thermistors or heaters, will normally be despatched on the same day, provided that the order is received before noon.

Breakdown repairs, or more complicated modifications, such as the fitting of brakes, will normally be done overnight for next-day despatch.

The modular design of Leroy`s range allows options, such as different style flanges, modified shafts and mechanical brakes to be accommodated easily and rapidly.
