Higham takes control of Siemens` automation business

Mark Higham (below) has succeeded Gordon Carmichael as general manager of Siemens` industrial control and automation business in the UK. Higham, who joined Siemens in 1985 as a graduate engineer, was previously business manager of the company`s automation centre in Manchester, with responsibility for its Simatic products.

In his new position, Higham will be responsible for automation products, standard drives and LV controlgear, as well as for the training, service and technical support divisions.

Carmichael has been appointed group managing director of Siemens` Information and Communications Mobile in Bracknell.
