Megadyne makes a belt for Leeds

The belt manufacturer Megadyne has moved its UK headquarters from Bradford to a new site next to the M62 in Leeds (shown below), following its takeover last year of Carlisle Power Transmission (formerly Dayco).

Although Dayco may have been a better known name in the UK, Megadyne`s European sales before the takeover were more than double those of CPT. The combined company, with pan-European sales expected to exceed €130m this year, is one of Europe`s largest power transmission manufacturers.

Megadyne, whose global headquarters are in Italy, claims to be the only power transmission supplier that manufactures complete systems of rubber and polyurethane belts, pulleys and associated items in-house.
