• Rittal is celebrating its 25th anniversary in the UK. The UK business, originally based in Dinnington near Sheffield, was the German enclosure-maker`s fourth overseas subsidiary. In 1989, Rittal moved to larger, purpose-built premises in Hellaby, Rotherham. It now has a range of more than 8,000 products.

• The motor and control specialist Advent Power Products is merging with the electronics firm Camis Components which supplies controls for applications such as forklifts and security, and also sells small motors. Camis is moving to Advent`s Brierley Hill site.

• Heason Technologies has moved to larger premises near Horsham, West Sussex, The new phone number is 01403 755800.

• The UK`s first international Profibus recently attracted more than 100 delegates, from as far afield as Trinidad and China, to Ragley Hall, near Stratford-upon-Avon. The event was such a success that the organisers have announced that they will be returning to Ragley Hall next year for a two-day conference on June 21 and 22.

• Lapp, the cable and connectors specialist, formed last year by the merger of Contact Connectors and Oskar Lapp, has moved to new premises in Perivale, West London. The new site is twice the size of the previous premises, and will stock 40,000 product lines..
