Danaher has bought ThyssenKrupp`s G&L Motion Control business, which produces servo drives and motors, operator interfaces, industrial software, and programmable controls. G&L - formerly Giddings & Lewis - serves OEMs in various industries including packaging, converting, printing, material handling, assembly and metal-cutting.

G&L is joining the Danaher Motion business, which already includes brand names such as Kollmorgen, Pacific Scientiific, Thomson and Portescap.
