Rockwell teams up with E+H

01 February, 2005

As part of its drive into the hybrid process controls market, Rockwell Automation is working with Endress+Hauser (E+H) to offer standards-compliant methods for configuring process instruments. The companies plan to expand device connectivity and configuration capabilities, using standard technologies such as Fieldbus Foundation and Hart.

Rockwell also plans to join E+H and other companies on the steering committee of the FDT/DTM Interest Group to promote FDT as a configuration and data management interface for text- and graphics-based device profiles.
