Kählig takeover ends Gefeg uncertainty

01 July, 2003

Following a period of uncertainty, caused by bereavement and financial problems, the Hannover-based motor manufacturer Gefeg Antriebstechnik has been bought by Kählig Elecktrotechnik. The business, now named Kählig Antriebstechnik, will continue to manufacture Gefeg`s range of industrial DC motors and custom-designed products, as well as developing a new range of brushless DC motors.

In the UK, the small drives specialist Electro Mechanical Systems (EMS) will continue to represent the product line, which will now be promoted under the Kählig Antriebstechnik name, using the KAG logo.
