IMO enters French market by buying €8m firm

IMO Precision Controls has expanded its European presence by buying a French automation specialist, Jeambrun Automation SA, for an undisclosed sum. The €8m turnover company has five offices across France, backed by a technical support and logistics infrastructure. It has been incorporated into a new business, IMO Jeambrun Automation SAS (whose headquarters are shown below).

The French acquisition joins IMO`s existing Continental businesses in Italy and Germany. "IMO`s strategy is to develop through the growth and success of our customers, and we are determined to invest aggressively to make it easier to buy IMO products around the world," says the company`s chief executive, Fausto Furlotti.

"We are delighted with the opportunities this new opening brings us," adds Peter Malpas, IMO`s group sales manager. "Our objective now is to build on Jeambrun`s foundations by creating awareness of IMO products to our French customer base.

"The products have always been well received in each new overseas market that we have entered." Malpas continues. "We expect our initiative in France to follow that same successful trend."
