Rockwell Automation is combining its Electro-Craft operation with its Allen-Bradley motion control business. Future motion control products will carry the Allen-Bradley name although certain lines, such as custom motors, will retain the Electro-Craft identity.

Dan Griesbach, vice-president of Rockwell`s motion control business, says that combining the two operations will allow the company to meet users` needs more efficiently "while aggressively competing in the expanding motion control market".
