Automation `university` comes to Birmingham

About 600 automation users, specifiers and systems integrators gathered in Birmingham last month to attend an "Automation University", organised by Rockwell Automation. The two-day event included hands-on instruction classes and demonstrations of the company`s technologies.

As well as more than 70 tutorial sessions, the "students" were offered one-to-one consultancy sessions with expert engineers, and could attend an exhibition of products and services provided by Rockwell and some of its partners. Similar events are being held elsewhere in Europe. The next one in the UK is likely to be in 2007.
