º  Emerson is combining its Bristol, Fisher, Daniel and Mobrey remote technology products and services operations into a new division called Remote Automation Solutions. The division will target the remote measurement and control needs of the water, oil and gas industries.

º  The automation software specialist KSE Protech is merging with the ObjectAutomation Corporation to produce as new organisation, OA International. The new company, with more than 200 employees, will supply automation systems globally.

º  NSK is boosting is bearing production by 30% by investing more than €70m in new machinery for its Fujisawa City factory in Japan. The expansion is expected to raise NSK’s sales from €405m to €540m within two years.£100.

º  Siemens Automation & Drives and Galon New Systems have set up a joint venture to manufacture switch and socket systems for the Chinese market. Siemens Wiring Accessories Shandong will have 500 employees..

º  Mitsubishi Electric and WonderWare have agreed to collaborate and to promote each others products. Mitsubishi will recommend WonderWare’s InTouch product to customers requiring advanced monitoring, and the two companies will be working to integrate their products more closely.
