º  IMA, the Guisely-based instrument supplier, has taken the unusual step of selling a new range of digital panel meters on eBay. The company says the move will make it easy for customers to buy one or two meters and will keep starting prices below £100.

º  Vishay Intertechnology has made an offer to buy the UK-based PM Group. Vishay wants to keep the PM Onboard weighing business and to dispose of PM’s electrical contracting business.

º  Jim Bamforth, the former chairman of Rexel Senate and president of the Electrical and Electronics Industries Benevolent Association, has died after a long illness.
