Philp moves into the Gambica hotseat

Dr Graeme Philp, chief executive of MTL Instruments, has succeeded Colin Perry as president of Gambica, the trade body that represents more than 200 companies operating in the automation, control, instrumentation and laboratory technology sectors. Philp will hold the post for two years.

Philp (above) began his career with Kent Instruments and, after achieving his PhD, worked for ABB in the UK before being appointed group technical and marketing director at MTL in 1991. He was made chief executive in 1995.
