• Honeywell has sold Brand-Rex, its Scottish cabling manufacturer, to a private investment firm, the Gores Group. Glenrothes-based Band-Rex specialises in high-performance cabling for communications and extreme environment applications.

UK deliveries of Hoerbiger-Origa products are expected to be at least 2-3 days quicker following the establishment of a central logistics facility in Germany. Some UK prices could drop as a result of prices being harmonised across Europe.

The Suffolk pump-maker Amarinth has acquired Oxfordshire-based Protect System which specialises in high quality seals. The Protect brand will be kept, but Amarinth will take over responsibility for future development, marketing and sales.
