Sewtec aims to double turnover to £32m and workforce to 120
Published:  04 May, 2018

The West Yorkshire robotics and automation specialist Sewtec has announced plans to double its turnover to £32m within five years, following a management buyout in August last year. This would also entail a doubling of the number of skilled personnel in the company, taking its workforce to more than 120 people.

In the first three months of 2018, Dewsbury-based Sewtec secured £10m of orders from customers in the UK, Ireland and the US, and created eight new jobs. More than 85% of its sales go to export markets.

“Our plan to double our turnover to £32m is ambitious,” admits managing director, Mark Cook. “However, it is achievable, particularly when you consider the extraordinary skill and dedication of our people across all aspects of the business.”
