The system works autonomously and can monitor all types of grease lubrication systems, including manual lubrication.
A precision grease meter measures the amount of grease being fed into a lubrication point. The meter communicates wirelessly with a controller that raises an alarm if too much or too little grease is being dispensed.
One controller can monitor up to 20 grease meters over distances of up to 75m. The condition of each meter is shown on a colour display, and the controller also logs the data and can generate statistics.
The wireless lubrication monitor is based on an earlier model that had a cable connection. Assalub says that the new version avoids the costs of cabling as well as the risk of the cable being damaged. It claims that the monitor’s battery will last at least 15 years.
