Published:  26 March, 2018

With two weeks to go before the 2018 Drives & Controls Show opens its doors at the Birmingham NEC, there has been a last-minute flurry of exhibitors snapping up the last remaining stands in Drives & Controls and the new Smart Industry Expo.

The most imposing new arrival will be a 35-tonne exhibition truck from RS Components, which is 19m long and 7.6m wide when fully expanded. Called Titan II, the truck will be demonstrating cutting-edge technologies such as virtual reality and 3D printing. It includes a training room and even a kitchen.

Other new exhibitors include the machine guard and safety switches manufacturer, Mechan Controls, the motion and vibration control specialist, Ace Fabreeka, the sensors and measuring instruments supplier, Sensors, UK, Advanced Technical Recruitment, and the Chinese bearings manufacturer, Zhejiang Hyanyu Bearing.

New arrivals in the Smart Industry Expo include the contract manufacturing services provider, Industrial Electronic Wiring, and the product configuration software developer, Configit.

RS Components’ 35-tonne Titan II exhibition truck will be an unmissable presence in the new Smart Industry Expo event, running alongside the Drives & Controls Show

The cluster of industrial exhibitions that includes the Drives & Controls Show and the Smart Industry Expo, will open its doors at the Birmingham NEC from 10-12 April. Running alongside will be the MTA’s MACH manufacturing technology exhibition.
