The sensors are both members of Turck’s uprox3 factor 1 family. The first are the rectangular CK40/QV40 sensors, which can achieve switching distances of 50mm, even when partially embedded or flush mounted. The QV40 version has an active face which can be adjusted to five positions without needing tools.
The M30-format B120U-M30 cylindrical sensors offer a switching distance of 20mm in all materials, even when flush mounting. They are resistant to magnetic fields, making them attractive for automotive body assembly applications. The sensors are available in chrome-plated brass housings or as PTFE-coated versions for welding applications.
Both sensors are available with IO-Link support, allowing parameters such as switching distances, hysteresis or off delays to be set remotely. It is also possible to implement speed monitoring, two switching points and temperature alarms. Operation on IO-Link masters allows access to diagnostics data from the sensors.
