First Motion Control Awards attract 200 bookings
Published:  02 February, 2016

ABB, Parker Hannifin and Gambica have become sponsors of the UK's new Motion Control Industry Awards, which will be presented for the first time at a dinner at the National Conference Centre on 12 April, 2016 – during the same week that the Drives & Controls Show is taking place at the nearby National Exhibition Centre.

Around 200 people have already booked to attend the event, which will be hosted by the comedian Simon Evans. The nine awards will recognise the achievements of individuals and companies in nine categories, including technical innovation, energy efficiency, project of the year, contribution to skills and training, and engineer of the year.

The awards are being organised by Touchwave Media in conjunction with the Motion Control Alliance, which comprises the British Fluid Power Association, the British Fluid Power Distributors’ Association, and the British Compressed Air Society.

The National Conference Centre venue is on the same site as the National Motorcycle Museum, next to the M42 motorway. Details of the awards, including information on how to book to attend the event, can be found on its Web site.
